Hello, my name is Cassidy. I live in Portland, Oregon and am the one responsible for Gouseion. I chose the name in 2006, it is romanized Japanese and is pronounced Go-Say-Own, meaning synthetic sound used primarily to refer to lo-fi cell phone audio.
